Today I noticed two very separate articles, though to me they are both interrelated and on a subject that I feel very strongly about: Tablet Devices and Mobile App Development.
It is no secret that I am a total iOS convert in my personal life, living with my iPhone and iPad, but as a Businessman and Technologist I am just as much of a convert to Enterprise Mobility and Development, so much so that I have predicted that 2012 will be the year of the Mobile Developer, Enterprise Business App and Tablet Device… more than 2011.
So it was NO surprise to me that…
Firstly PRWeb.com had picked up on analysis from Jobs Tractor that Objective-C is in the top three skills required. Check out http://www.prweb.com/releases/2012/1/prweb9075749.htm .I have been suggesting investing in Company Development Teams for Mobility as something employers should do for a while.
Then secondly the Evening Standard declared that BSkyB have said 2012 would be its year of the Tablet and that nearly one in 10 Britons got one of these devices over the Holiday Period. Check out http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-business/article-24025574-research-finds-britons-are-turning-on-to-tablets.do .This will surely fire up the Prosumers in every company to want to have such a great device at hand in their day to day work.
I believe in Business, having a Mobile Device & never building your own Corporate Apps is like having a Swiss Army Knife on a Survival trip and never using it
