eBay Inc. (Nasdaq:EBAY), a global ecommerce and online payments leader, today announced the first ever multi-channel, multi-retailer holiday rewards program in partnership with Toys“R”Us, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Aeropostale. It’s simple: spend $100 online and earn $10 to shop in-store.
eBay’s partnership with these national retailers promotes how today’s consumers shop – online and offline, via mobile and at the mall – to find what they want, when and how they want it.
“We’re excited to offer this first ever online and in-store multi-channel rewards program with Toys“R”Us, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Aeropostale,” said eBay Inc. President and CEO John Donahoe. “This innovative rewards program reflects the future of retail and the convenient, seamless shopping experience consumers are looking for.”
The partnership leverages eBay Inc.’s strong commerce portfolio: eBay, the world's largest online marketplace and a leader in mobile commerce; PayPal, a leader in fast, secure online and mobile payments; and GSI Commerce, a leading provider of ecommerce and interactive marketing services for the world’s premier brands and retailers. It reflects eBay Inc.’s commitment to enabling commerce—partnering with brands, retailers and sellers of all sizes to market their inventory and empowering consumers to shop their channel of choice, whether it’s “clicks” online or “bricks” in their local neighborhoods.

Shop Mobile, Pick Up Local at Toys“R”Us
Last-minute shoppers can easily find – and buy – the gifts they want at a local retail store through RedLaser™, the leading barcode and QR code scanning mobile technology, acquired by eBay Inc. in 2010. RedLaser 3.0, a newly available iPhone® app, marks eBay’s first mobile retail partnership with Toys“R”Us, the world’s leading dedicated toy and juvenile products retailer. Users of the app can scan or search top toys, check availability at the nearest Toys“R”Us retail location and purchase the item through PayPal, right from the palm of their hand. Shoppers can conveniently pick up their gifts in-store that same day.
The ultimate shopping tool for the holidays, RedLaser 3.0 is the first app to leverage local availability information from Milo, mobile express check out from PayPal™ and barcode comparison shopping from RedLaser all within one seamless experience. Shoppers can now easily access both online and offline inventory, find the best price, purchase the item securely through PayPal and either pick it up at a local store or have it delivered to their front door. To get these features and more, shoppers can download the RedLaser 3.0 app for free in the iTunes® App store.
